Hey Guys it's me again!Guess what I m going to tell you about a unique architecture, so mine is The Longaberger Company's Headquarters The Longaberger Company is an American manufacturer and distributor of handcrafted maple wood baskets and other home and lifestyle products. It was one of the primary employers in the area near Dresden, Ohio, USA.The Longaberger Company was started by Dave Longaberger in 1973
This building is a headquarters and a well-known example of novelty architecture, since it takes the shape of the company's biggest seller, the "Medium Market Basket". This 180,000-square-foot building was designed by The Longaberger Company, and executed by NBBJ and Korda Nemeth Engineering. This building opened in 1997. The basket handles weigh almost 150 tons and can be heated during cold weather to prevent ice damage.At first,Dave Longaberger(Founder of The Longaberger Company)wanted all of the Longaberger buildings to be shaped like baskets, but only the headquarters was completed at the time of his death.
In 1998, The Longaberger home office received a Build Ohio Award for its synthetic plaster system. This building is made of stucco over a steel structure Do you know why i choose this building? because i think this building architecture os really cool and the founder(dave Longaberger ) was really creative and smart and this building is really cute, i mean look at this pict it's really awesome and beautiful at midnight, isn't it?
